It pains me to see anyone but my team in the Super Bowl this year. Partly because I put money up that the NY Giants would be there. But there is just something that is mesmerizing about the New Orleans Saints. Something that you just can’t put your finger on. You know, that IT factor all champs have.

I know first hand that they can beat teams with a bunch of no namers because they pummeled the Giants 48-17 in week six. Guys like Lance Moore, Pierre Thomas, and outcasts like Mike Bell and Jeremy Shockey all appear to be hungrier than some super star players around the league.

And let’s not forget about the man, the legend, the quarterback, Drew Brees. Brees has been out of this world accurate with the football and just looks to be unstoppable. It doesn’t hurt that he never, ever, ever, ever touches the ground because of an underated line. That just gives him more time to make NFL defenses look like pop warner teams. And that’s just the offense. The defense is led by Darren “don’t throw it over here” Sharper who has 9 interceptons this year.

Bottom line this team is stacked with prevously unrecognized talent. And on top of that they have their whole city on their backs and the Saints faithful are hungry for a championship. This sunday, expect to see the New Orleans holding up the Lombardi trophy sreaming “WHO DAT, WHO DAT, WHO DAT THAT’S GON BEAT THEM SAINTS.”

I agree. The Colts better go hard, or go home!

Another great entry/prediction man, and completely true…its the hunger from guys like Reggie Bush and Jeremy Shockey that killed the Colts for being complacent…well everybody except that Superman known as Dwight Freeney (seriously? ballerina spin moves like that on a torn ligament?) Had it not been for his presence during the first half, that game would’ve been over much quicker…
