Draft Talk

Now that the NFL combine has come and gone, we’ve gotten a chance to see what some of the country’s best football players look like doing they’re individual drills.

Some may believe these drills are useless and serve no purpose in telling how good a player will do, but I disagree. Sure it shouldn’t be the determining factor in who a team selects -that’s what the game tape is for- but it does help you get a feel of an athlete’s ability.

Here are some guys who stood out to me:

1. Ndamakong Suh was a complete beast in college. He manhandled every offensive player he cam in contact with and did the same to all of the tackling dummies. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/ndamukong-suh?id=496861

2. C.J Spiller AKA Mr. Everything had the second fastest 40 time for running backs. He could be the most explosive offensive player in the draft. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/c.j.-spiller?id=497204

3. Tim Tebow, arguably the greatest quarterback to play college football didn’t throw during the combine, which was a good thing, because he’s working on his throwing motion. There’s no doubt in my mind he’ll be successful as a pro. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/tim–tebow?id=497135

  1. No trackbacks yet.
