The End…Again.

It appears to be over once again. This past week Allen Iverson officially announced to the the Sixers that he will not return to the team for the rest of the season. Iverson’s daughter was recently diagnosed with an undisclosed illness which has Iverson and his family traveling back and forth to doctors.

If you recall Iverson retired in November after a rift with the front office and coaching staff of the Memphis Grizzlies. But he came back to his former team after one month at home. During this stint with the 76ers Iverson averaged 13.8 points per game, along with 4 assists. He even garnered spot on the 2010 Eastern Conference All-Star team. But it is obvious he isn’t the same dominant player he used to be. He’s not as fast or as strong as he used to be and doesn’t seem to have the same flare for the game anymore. And it doesn’t help that he wont play a subservient role.

If this is truly the last time we will see A.I. in the NBA, it is very sad day for all basketball fans.
