These Colors Don’t Run, They Skate!

The U.S.A men’s hockey team has been one of the biggest surprises in the 2010 winter olympics. A team full of good players, but no go-to-guy, is 4-0 and headed to the semi-finals to play Finland.

They shocked the world by defeating Canada earlier this week and are now the favorite, in some circles, to win the gold medal. The most shocking thing of all may be that they didn’t give up after beating Canada. Normally a huge win like that would cause a team to become  big-headed and lose focus. But this team has some of the same characteristics of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” squad. They play together and have fun because they know they’re playing with house money.

If these guys win the gold it would do a lot to boost hockey back up to where it used to be prior to the lockout of 04-05. So now the question is…Do you still believe in miracles?
